Each song has 4 parts - each part is a patch on a modular synth. These patchs self generate melodies and drum parts. there is no sequencing involved. in the Clavia Nord Modular comunity these types of patchs are known as noodles. Each of my patchs has several (3-8) LFOs that describe when notes should be triggered and what pitch should be triggered. the LFOs modulate each other to create patterens of data that can be applied to an oscilator and in effect create a melody or a bassline or a drum pattern. Each patch has a set of knobs that can be used to create song variations or even entirely different sounding songs. there are a total of 16 patchs i have written that can all be interchanged. Reaktor ensembles generates additional MIDI data so that paramaters on the modular synth can interact with data that is fed into reaktor. Essentialy these songs are recordings of myself feeding data to reaktor which is then tweaking the generative performance on the nord modular.
